Notes on Arizona certified Concealed Carry Training

Class size limited to 6

Threat Solutions Training Services:
Threat Solutions Consulting only does group training for AZ CCW certification, sorry. All other instruction is done on a 1 to 1 basis.

Realistic self-defense requires movement skills. This applies to ANY weapon type, including firearms. Imagine a boxer or martial artist who stands in one place to fight. We can all guess what will happen to him. Firearms skills are no different. Guess what, the ranges of gunfights are generally the same ranges as hand to hand fighting, plus a few steps. Sometimes.

The lack of movement skills is the biggest problem at this point in the history of firearms training. Why? For any dedicated school, or training academy, they need a certain number of students to make them viable financially. If we look at the private sector they have to make enough money to support a range infrastructure. Government agencies, primarily law-enforcement, have to meet budgetary constraints and push large groups through as efficiently as possible. Neither of these methods can teach realistic survival skills for safety reasons.

Imagine doing this movement pattern while shooting with a group of 20 other students whom you barely know.

This particular movement pattern completely changes one of the use of force "holy grails" concerning justified use of force involving contact weapons. If you can do this you will gain a huge cushion before you would be injured, or even have to shoot. Circular movement, gun retention, and integrated combatives, forget it with groups, someone WILL get shot by accident. Someone WILL get hurt.
The best survival movement skills, and skills that will work in a fight, clearly require a one to one student to instructor ratio.
That's why we avoid group training. If you want to learn realistic survival skills this is the place to do it.
